What was the pricetag on these 3hp hit & miss engines in the 1920's - 1930s? Seems like they are built to last pretty much _forever_ , as long as you don't leave water in the hopper overnight, outdoors, in the winter. Even if you did, I've seen ones that had frozen and the heads cracked, so they braised or welded over the crack, and it was running on RUclips.

Nice machine. Propane option is neat. I know of a propane powered International Cub Cadet 1100, here in my area.

I retired as a civilian after 35 years working for the Naval Facilities Engineering Command. I have minimal knowledge of carrier ops, but as a professional engineer their use on a carrier to tow aircraft makes no sense whatsoever - they only have rear wheel brakes and not nearly enough weight to control a combat aircraft on a pitching carrier deck. I have seen them used at Navy and Marine Corps Reserve centers for lawn mowing and snow removal, however.

I do watch this show on TV most weekends.

We still have a 1945 2n that our Dad bought new in the spring of 1945. He said he paid $1000 for the tractor, plow, disc, and digger/cultivator

Awesome tractor.I own one that I bought from an original buyer.The old girl farmed 60 acres.

The smoothness of the six cylinder would make it difficult to want a rough running Two Cylinder.

The 2n was the tractor I wasn't allowed to use , the little Fergy was the one I used and then it was up with the Massey family all with the Ferguson 3 point lift . Great tools , great memories , and as far as I know they're still working on a farming museum .

Everyone in my area hates these tractors... But the smallest tractor in my area, supposedly, was a Farmall H, back then. Now, the biggest is...well whatever these new giants are now... But the Ford N Series, and it's Ferguson counterpart, are my favorites to look at. I've never operated farm equipment, I just change their tires.
